Forever and Ever

Duna Art Ensemble

Our performance immerses the audience in a mixture of creative art, world music and virtuoso performance. We aim to subtly inspire to think, and to help relax, as well as to entertain. The central element around which the show is organised is the world of trees and the world tree, which is the tree of life and of death, of fertility and of plenty; the tree of love, and of ascension, a shaman tree, a soul tree, a mystic tree, the tree of knowledge, the tree of time and of history, a cross… or, in brief, everything. Trees link worlds, and connect the sky and the earth. They tell tales of our lives, our endless rituals, myths, eternal recurrence, and the struggles of our lives. Trees are the pillars that support the world, trees look after us. Trees elevate us, they soothe and embrace.

Our dance theatre performance is authentic, yet applies an innovative approach and modern approach that elevates folk dance and folk music to the level of contemporary theatre. The modern interpretations do not take away from the value of the traditional components, but on the contrary, vitalise and invigorate them.
